Turin - Alessandro del Piero is counting down its existence as a Juventus player. Having worked in Turin for 18 years, he admitted somewhat disappointed with the club's decision removing him.
Directors including Juve president Andrea Agnelli recently decided not to renew his contract that Del Piero will end on June 30, 2012. That means this is the last season the player with "The Zebra".
"Usually these things are dealt with differently," said Del Piero told Striscia La Notizia reported by Football Italia on Saturday (10/22/2011). "However, there is no need also to clarify anything with the president.
"Now I will focus only on the team, because there is still time to think about my future. I have not made any decision," continued the 36-year player.
When asked if he was upset or disappointed with the announcement of Agnelli who would not defend himself, he replied, "little."
Upon hearing that Del Piero will leave Juventus at the end of the season, AC Milan reportedly keen to sign him immediately, because it had several times tried to take him to San Siro. Besides that, his hometown club, Padova, may also be prepared to hold them. Another option, Del Piero will spend the rest of his career in the United States.
