Sri Mulyani Indrawati (born in Bandar Lampung, Lampung, August 26, 1962, age 49 years) was the first Indonesian woman who once served as Managing Director of the World Bank. This position is entrusted starting June 1, 2010. Previously, he served as Minister of Finance of United Indonesia Cabinet. Once, he was based at the World Bank Office, he was practically left his post as finance minister. Prior to his finance minister, he served as Minister of State for National Development Planning / Head of Agency of the United Indonesia Cabinet.
Sri Mulyani was formerly known as an economic analyst in Indonesia. He served as Head of the Institute for Economic and Social Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia (UI LPEM) since June 1998. On December 5, 2005, when President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono announced a cabinet reshuffle, Sri Mulyani moved to replace Finance Minister Jusuf Anwar. Since 2008, he served as Acting Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, the Minister for Economic Affairs Dr. Boediono was inaugurated as Governor of Bank Indonesia. He was crowned as the best Finance Minister of Asia for 2006 by the Emerging Markets on 18 September 2006 on the sidelines of the Annual Session of the World Bank and IMF in Singapore. He was also selected as the most influential women of the world's 23rd version of Forbes magazine in 2008 and the most powerful women in Indonesia 2nd version of the magazine Globe Asia in October 2007.
